Well, this is one kind of common error among Windows PC users which may appear due to several possible reasons irrespective of whether you’re running a game or any other program. Here we’ve mentioned some workarounds for you that are related to the game issues and might help you a lot. So, without further ado, let’s jump into it.
1. Reboot the PC
First of all, you should reboot the computer to refresh any kind of temporary system glitch that may occur reduction in system performance, or prevent other elements to run a program properly. Though it’s a basic workaround, you should try it out before going into any other methods.
2. Update FIFA 22
The second thing you can do is simply check for the game update at your end and install the same whenever available. - Now, go to Document > Open the FIFA 22 folder.
- Right-click on the fifasetup.ini file > Select Open with > Click on Notepad.

Next, you’ll need to follow the steps below to use launch options on Steam to forcefully run DirectX 12 for FIFA 22.
- Open the Steam client > Click on Library.
- Right-click on FIFA 22 > Select Properties.
- On the General tab, you’ll find Launch Options.
- Enter -dx12 into the launch options field.
- Once done, close the launcher to apply changes.
- Finally, launch FIFA 22, and check for the blue screen error again.
7. Perform a Clean Boot
In terms of the system performance, plenty of programs or services always running in the background without your knowledge including Microsoft services and some other third-party services. It’s better to disable all the third-party services from the background and perform a clean boot so that your system feels lightweight & performs better.
Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
Now, type msconfig and hit Enter to open System Configuration.
Go to the Services tab > Enable the Hide all Microsoft services checkbox.
Click on Disable all > Click on Apply and then OK to save changes.

9. Skip Playing FIFA 22 via EA Desktop App
