Currently FFXIV: A Realm Reborn has granted Legacy status to all accounts who had subscribed to FFXIV for three months after the one month free period. Legacy status brings some major benefits to the player. These benefits include a discounted monthly subscription rate, a special exclusive chocobo mount, early access and even your name in the credits.
We need some better respect for those of us who have been waiting for two years to play the game. The four month subscription requirement for Legacy status is ridiculous. I paid full price for the special edition on release then subscribed for three months for a game that barely ran. Yet I’m going to be lumped in with everyone else who has just bought the game? Makes no sense.
Square needs to reward those players who were there at the start, not just the ones that stuck with the admittedly terrible game. As someone with multiple final fantasy tattoos who has been playing FFXI since its incarnation, I’ve got to say I’m disappointed in this decision and I hope it will be changed. In other news, I’m really happy with the game play so far in the beta. DO YOU HEAR US SQUARE? Show the players some love who have been waiting for ages for this game to come together! Many of us returned to FFXI and have been loyal to you!
